I was inspired this week to put together a totally PINK What to Wear post. WPPI is going on in Vegas right now, which is a huge convention of photographers from everywhere and a couple of my fellow boudoir photographers are rocking a Barbie suite. This room is awesome and so it inspired me to do an outfit Barbie style. Psst…the more see through the bra, the better for that extra sexiness!
It’s obvious that my blog posting has been non existent over the past month+, but it’s not due to a lack of content! I’m back to the blogging world this week as I start to SLOWLY get back to doing some work. On November 28th, I went through my third open heart surgery in my 31 years and have spent December in the first leg of my recovery. 1 month down, 2 more to go for “full recovery” and I can not wait to get back to normal! Each month a set of restrictions lift and I hope to be taking on portrait/boudoir sessions again the first of February. It’ll be nice to pick up my camera again! :)
Since I don’t have any images or video from my first two surgeries, it was important to me to document it this time at least a little. I won’t go into the day by day descriptions here, but if you are interested in that information just shoot me an email. The following images are not pretty as open heart surgery is obviously not pretty and it’s been rough, but each week is better than the last! My favorite image from the bunch is the very last one on the right, I was tube & IV free and signing my discharge papers 4 days after surgery! I’ve also documented my recovery in the hospital and at home via video and have a YouTube channel HERE.

Fall Dates
The October calendar is filling up quickly! There are only two weekend dates left and a few weekday dates left so contact me ASAP if you are interested in booking a session. October & the first week in November is it for Fall session availability.
2011 Closing
I kind of touched on the subject HERE with some creative outlet images, but due to a third open heart surgery I will be having done in mid November, Lucid Design & Photography will be closing for the 2011 season earlier than usual. There is an extensive recovery time so no photography sessions will be taken after Saturday, November 5th, 2011. I hope to resume normal business hours on Monday, January 2nd, 2012. If you need design work done, please still contact me as I may be taking on some design work.
